Conductor Geoffrey Loff is a sought-after musical partner to some of the world’s most renowned musical institutions, and has assisted and worked alongside Sir Simon Rattle, Christian Thielemann, Daniel Barenboim, amongst many others. The new Assistant to the Music Director at Komische Oper Berlin, Geoffrey was most recently a music staff member of the renowned Staatsoper Berlin.

Recipient of the, 2026 and 2023 Career Assistance Award from the Solti Foundation US, 2025 Olga Forrai Foundation Conducting Grant, 2nd prize at the Blue Danube Opera Conducting Competition, Geoffrey is a graduate of the prestigious Aspen Conducting Academy, Houston Grand Opera Studio, and Minnesota Opera resident artist program.

In the 2026–2027 season, Geoffrey Loff returns to Komische Oper Berlin to conduct performances of Sweeney Todd, Pippi Langstrumpf, and other productions and concerts. He also returns to Opera Orlando for Der Fliegende Holländer. Most recently, Geoffrey appeared as a guest at the Vienna Staatsoper, the Stara Zagora State Opera, and the Pazardzhik Philharmonic. In previous seasons, he served as a guest cover conductor at San Francisco Opera, assistant conductor at Houston Grand Opera, and Music Director of Houston Grand Opera's HGOco. Recent performances include his debut conducting Don Giovanni with Teatro Nuovo at Lincoln Center, to rave reviews.

With ebullience, warmth, and joy in his music making, Geoffrey is equally versatile in bel canto repertoire (Barbiere di Siviglia, Houston Grand Opera; Il Signor Bruschino, Sarasota Opera), baroque opera (Dido and Aeneas, Sarasota Opera), and modern opera (Glory Denied, HGOco), Geoffrey’s breadth of repertoire encompasses symphonic, chamber, lieder, and solo works as well. In addition, Geoffrey is also an esteemed concert and collaborative pianist, who’s performed in concert with the Berlin Staatskapelle, for the U.S. Chopin Foundation, with Thomas Hampson, Luca Pisaroni, and Anna Maria Martinez.
